Bed Bug Prep Sheet

Please complete the following check list before your scheduled service visit. This will help ensure we completely and effectively eliminate bed bugs from your home.

  • Ensure that we have complete access to all inspection areas. Successful control requires a thorough inspection and treatment of the entire room(s) and all furniture items.
  • Remove toys, clothing, curtains, rugs, pillows, books, magazines, storage containers and similar items from the infested room and from furniture drawers.
  • Secure items in sealed containers and launder or dry clean washable items such as curtains, linens, stuffed animals, rugs and clothes.
  • Move furniture away from walls.
  • Remove pictures and decorative items from walls and place them on the floor.
  • Discard mattresses with severe infestations. Mattresses with low levels of infestation can be sealed with a mattress cover designed for bed bug exclusion. Ask us about purchasing mattress covers.
  • Vacuum the carpet and floors of the infested room(s). Dispose of the bag into a plastic trash bag and immediately place in an outdoor lidded garbage container.

About Bed Bug Treatment

You may continue to see bed bugs for up to two weeks after your initial treatment. Do not place any items back in the infested room until the population has been controlled.  Feel free to contact us with any questions about your treatment plan before, during or after service.

Post-Treatment Prevention

  • Inspect mattresses, bed frames, bed sheets, covers, furniture and any items that you purchase for signs of bed bugs.
  • When traveling, inspect mattresses and headboards in your hotel room.
  • Keep luggage zipped closed and elevated off the floor. It is best not to place clothing in hotel room or cruise ship dressers.
  • Closely inspect your luggage when returning from overnight travel.
